CHP Search For Hit And Run Suspect

Arnold, CA — The San Andreas CHP is asking for your help to find the driver who forced a pick-up truck to smash into parked cars and hit a building and then took off. The wreck happened just after 10 Friday morning on the 1100 block of Highway 4 west of Manuel Road in Arnold.

Witnesses told officers that an unknown white male driving a brown or tan SUV was driving on the wrong side of the road and ran a white 2006 Ford F-150 pickup off of the road. The truck hit two parked vehicles then careened into a support beam of a building. They say the driver of the SUV then made an illegal U-turn and took off going westbound on Highway 4 at a high rate of speed.

The CHP reports the SUV is possibly a Ford Explorer with a chrome grille guard and tinted windows. The drive of the pick-up truck, 27-year-old Zachary Anglin of Arnold was not injured in the crash.
