Columbia, CA — Cal Fire is calling on the public to stay clear of the Bridges Fire. More crews are heading to the blaze which is still 25 acres. The flames broke out just after 10 this morning on Parrotts Ferry Road near Camp 9 Road north of Natural Bridges. When crews arrived on the scene it was at three acres. Cal Fire says there is no containment at this time and the flames are moving at a moderate rate of spread. There are no evacuation orders in place.
Cal Fire Spokesperson Lisa Williams says, “We are asking motorists to watch out for fire equipment and crews around the fire scene especially Parrotts Ferry and Camp 9 Roads. We are recommending they avoid the area or leave the area at this time. Also, there will be fire resources heading through Angels Camp and Vallecito so people just need to be aware and use caution in those area.”

On scene resources: 7 engines, 1 dozer, 4 hand crews, 2 tankers, 1 helicopter, 1 water tender and 103 fire personnel.
