Tuolumne County, CA — There will be no school for the next couple of days in Tuolumne County. View the updated School Delays and Closures Page here.
T.C. Superintendent of Schools Joe Silva says it is at the advisement of the Rim Fire commander, Tuolumne County Public health, and the Air Pollution Control District that all Tuolumne County schools will be closed Monday and Tuesday.
Silva stresses it is for the health and safety of all students. They will continue to monitor the Rim Fire situation for the rest of the week. Also, the Columbia College main campus is closed on Monday.
(Update: after Silva’s announcement, Sonora High Superintendent Mike McCoy stated Sonora High would not decide untill tomorrow about Tuesday. McCoy now states that Sonora High will go along with the countywide directive).
