Arnold, CA — The CHP is looking for the person who led authorities on a pursuit in Arnold.
The San Andreas CHP office received notice at around 2pm yesterday that a stolen pickup out of Murphys was spotted in the Arnold/White Pines area. Several agencies responded, including the Sheriff’s Office, Angels Camp PD and a CHP helicopter.
The driver of the stolen pickup started unloading several rifles and ammunition from the truck, but escaped before officials could create a perimeter. The CHP did locate the abandoned truck and numerous firearms. The CHP is in the process of interviewing witnesses, and anyone with information on the crime should call 209-754-3541. A description of the suspect has not yet been made available.
