Sonora, CA — Gas prices have soared over recent weeks in California, but fell in other areas of the country.
The Lundberg Survey of Fuel prices found that regular unleaded dropped six cents nationwide over the past two weeks to an average of $3.52 a gallon. In California, the average price jumped 16 cents over that same span to $3.97.
AAA reported that California’s jump was due to four refinery outages in the state that disrupted production over the past month. The myMotherLode.com gas price section shows that regular unleaded is selling in Sonora from $3.81-$3.95 and in San Andreas from $3.89-$3.95.
