Sonora, CA — The CHP reports that two residents of Tuolumne City were killed in Sunday morning’s crash on Highway 108.
The people fatally injured were 34-year-old Jason Reavis and 29-year-old Evonne Bravo. They were in a Chevy Cavalier, eastbound on Highway 108, and were hit head-on by a Chevy Silverado driven by 34-year-old Scott Hamilton of Manteca. The car driven by Reavis was also later hit by a third car, driven by 29-year-old Kelly Rodman of Sonora, who could not avoid the crash in front of her.
The CHP investigation found, for unknown reasons, Hamilton allowed his SUV to drift into the opposing traffic lane and strike the car driven by Reavis. Reavis and Bravo were pronounced dead at the scene. Hamilton had moderate injuries and so did Rodman.
The crash occurred at 6:56am on Highway 120 near Keystone Ranch, east of J-59.
