Sonora, CA — High country snow shut down the Mother Lode mountain passes. Late this morning Caltrans closed Highway 4 Ebbetts Pass at the east end of Lake Alpine.
Earlier, Caltrans shut down Highway 108 Sonora Pass about 26 miles east of Strawberry (near Kennedy Meadows). Last night Yosemite National Park officials closed Highway 120 Tioga Pass at Crane Flat due to the approaching weather system. All of the passes will remain closed until further notice.
