Raising Awareness About Breast Cancer

Sonora, CA — Nearly 150 women took part in SRMC’s “Ladies Night Out.”

The event at Heart Rock Café in downtown Sonora Tuesday was designed to raise awareness about breast cancer. It featured live music, hors d’oeuvres, desserts and complimentary manicures. It was followed by an evening of shopping and special offerings at nearly 20 participating businesses.

The evening included a drawing for a giant basket filled with several items, including two tickets to the 2014 Joie De Vie Gala, which benefits the Cancer Patient Support Fund. Breast cancer survivor Amelia Harrison was the big winner. She successfully underwent treatment at SRMC in 2008.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
