T.U.D. Will Vote On Scesa’s Contract

Sonora, CA — The T.U.D. Board of Directors will hold a special meeting this afternoon to officially hire a new General Manager.

The Board will meet in closed session at 3:30pm to discuss the position. Immediately afterwards the Board will open up the meeting to vote on promoting Tom Scesa from District Engineer to GM. T.U.D. meeting documents show that it would be a one year contract and pay $154K. At the end of the year, the contract would automatically be extended by another year, unless the Board of Director’s notifies Scesa in writing by July 1st of 2014. The Board can end the contract at any time, without cause, but would be required to provide Scesa with three month’s pay.

Assuming the contract is approved today, Scesa will fill the shoes of outgoing General Manager Pete Kampa.
