Sonora, CA — Caltrans reports that road work in several areas will cause delays for motorists on Mother Lode highways.
Crews will be repaving a small stretch of Highway 108 near the Highway 120 Yosemite junction on Tuesday and Wednesday from 8am-3pm. Caltrans is predicting 5 minute delays for motorists.
Some emergency repair work is underway on Highway 120 near the entrance into Yosemite National Park. Workers will be on scene from 7am-5pm, today through Friday, and five minute delays can be expected.
On Thursday expect 15 minute delays on Highway 108 near Chicken Ranch Road. A paving project will run from 8am-3pm.
On Thursday and Friday some bridge repairs will be made on Highway 12 at the North Fork of the Calaveras River. Five minute delays should be expected from 7am-6pm.
As reported earlier, the finishing work is also underway on Highway 108 in anticipation of opening the Stage II of the bypass this Friday. Expect 15 minute delays this week on Highway 108 from Standard Road to Draper Mine Road. Crews will work around the clock, with the exception of taking a break between 4pm-7pm each day.
