SRMC Earns National Honor

Sonora, CA — A national accreditor has ranked Sonora Regional Medical Center as one of the top performing hospitals for the second year in a row.

The Joint Commission is a leading accreditor of healthcare organizations, and has named SRMC a “Top Performer on Key Quality Measures” for using clinical processes that are shown to improve care for certain medical conditions. The award was presented last week and is based on data reported in 2012.

“It is an honor to be one of the leading facilities to achieve the ‘Top Performer on Key Quality Measures’ designation for the second year in a row,” says Jeff Eller, SRMC President and CEO. “This clearly demonstrates the commitment of our employees and medical staff in providing the very best care of our patients.”

Of the 3,343 eligible hospitals, SRMC is one of 1,099 to receive the Top Performer distinction.
