According to the National Weather Service, precipitation is expected in northern California through Thursday.
Steady precipitation is expected on Tuesday. Showers are expected Wednesday, lingering into Thurday.
A quarter to three quarters of an inch of rain is possible in the central valley. An inch or two of rain expected in the Mother Lode. Up to four inches of wet snow is anticipated by Tuesday night in the highest elevations of the Sierra Nevada. Additional snow accumulation is expected on Wednesday.
