Sonora, CA — This weekend on Mother Lode Views you can hear from District Three Supervisor Evan Royce. Royce’s District Three covers the greater Tuolumne and Twain Harte regions. This is the final instalment of a five part series on Mother Lode Views talking with the individual Tuolumne County Supervisors.
Supervisor Royce gives his views on the plans for the new county jail and a Juvenile Detention Center. He also questions whether the Rim Fire was mishandled from the beginning.
Royce says, “I think the other thing that led to it was a lack of resources with part of the initial response. I think we had several days where the fire was still somewhat in a manageable state. I don’t think it was handled properly. I don’t know who to blame for that, but I’m troubled by it.”
