San Andreas, CA — A Turlock man was hurt in a crash on Highway 49 near O’Connell Lane in Calaveras County.
The accident near San Andreas happened during the afternoon hours, and the CHP says the driver claimed he fell asleep at the wheel. The driver of the 2008 Ford F-250 was 19-year-old Johnathan Nuno of Turlock and the passenger was 22-year-old Dylan Fredenburg of Turlock.
Nuno was not injured, and Fredenburg was taken to Mark Twain Medical Center to treat injuries to his face and head. Nuno lost control of the truck going into a curve, and it collided with a tree, and later a barbed wire fence. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
