The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for the Mother Lode below 2000 feet, which is in effect from 3 am to 8 am Sunday.
* Temperatures: Twenty-seven to thirty-two degrees for foothill valley locations.
* Timing: Duration will range from one to five hours at or below freezing.
* Impacts: Sensitive potted plants if left outdoors could be damaged or killed.
A Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions could damage crops or kill other sensitive vegetation. Pets and livestock should have proper shelter to be protected from the cold.
