Sonora Regional Medical Center Lights Up

Sonora, CA — Sonora Regional Medical Center has put up and turned on its Christmas lights. This year’s decorations were revealed at the 3rd Annual Festival of Lights held yesterday, December 3rd. Though it was very cold, approximately 70 people braved the frigid temperatures to attended. The Festival of Lights also featured Mountain Melody, Woman’s Chorus of Calaveras County, performing as seen in the photos.

The entrance to the medical center at Delnero Street features a decorated walkway and there are lights all around the hospital.

Lights are purchased in honor or in memory of special people and to support Hospice of the Sierra. Funds raised from the sale of the lights will assist patients and families needing hospice care who cannot afford it. An Honor Roll of the more than 200 names that lights were purchased for will be displayed at the hospital for the remainder of the month of December.
