Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties want to help you get out of the cold. Both have warming shelters open for you to fight the chill. Tuolumne County’s shelter has moved to the Seventh-day Adventist Church on 40 North Forest Road. The Red Cross is now managing that shelter and the Groveland Community Center at 18720 Highway 120. Four warming shelters are open through 5:00 pm Sunday in Calaveras County. Here are the locations:
Murphys: First Congregational Church 509 North Algiers (At the corner of Church St. and N. Algiers)
West Point: West Point Community Hall 22283 Highway 26 (Intersection of Hwy 26/Bald Mtn. Rd/Pine St.)
San Andreas: Community Covenant Church 261 Treat Ave.
Arnold: Moose Lodge 1965 Blagen Road
