Sonora, CA — A Sonora High School student is in trouble with the law after allegedly throwing a snowball at a bus driver. He apparently carried the snowball onto the bus and then threw it when the bus was stopped on Monday. On Tuesday, police arrested the 15-year-old boy at the school for felony battery on a public transit employee.
Chief Mark Stinson says, “During the investigation it was determined that the snowball was actually packed so it had turned to ice and it was hard as a rock. It struck the driver in the back of the head and caused him to become dizzy.”
It is not clear why the student allegedly threw the snowball at the bus driver. The boy’s name is not being released because he is a minor.
