Yosemite, CA — Yosemite National Park has shut down some roads for the season due to ice and snow. Highway 120 Tioga Pass has been closed at Crane Flat since mid-November and now the Glacier Point roads in the park have been closed for the winter.
The Park report the recent series of snow storms has resulted in heavy snow accumulation and icy conditions throughout the park. All other roads will be subject to chain control or temporary closures whenever hazardous driving conditions exist. All motorists are required to carry tire chains during the winter including those with four-wheel drive vehicles.
On Monday, Caltrans closed Highway 108 Sonora Pass at Kennedy Meadows and Highway 4 Ebbetts Pass after the Mount Reba turnoff for the winter.
