Sonora, CA — Tonight the Sonora City Council will vote to renew a mutual aid agreement between the Sonora City Fire Department, Sierra Conservation Center and California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
The City of Sonora has had an agreement with the Sierra Conservation Center for the past 17 years in relation to inmates providing fire services.
The Council will also hear about plans by Comcast to increase current pricing and add a Broadcast TV fee to new cable subscribers. The additional monthly fee would be $1.50 for TV customers to defray the costs of retransmitting broadcast television signals. In addition, many of the current TV, internet and phone packages offered by Comcast will increase between $5-$10. The cost of just basic internet will increase by $2.
Today’s City Council meeting begins at 5pm at Sonora City Hall.
