Sonora, Ca – There was a Christmas feast for the ear and taste buds in downtown Sonora this afternoon. The annual Mutz’s Bean Feed, a Mother Lode tradition since 1987, had people lining up around the block to get a taste.
While enjoying the beans many listened to favorite Christmas tunes and sang along. More than a dozen community groups took to the steps of the courthouse for the Pop Hudson Christmas Sing. Some of the singers include the Tuolumne County Office of Education, Sonora Regional Medical Center and even some inmates from the Sierra Conservation Center. The event got underway at 12:45pm and wrapped up at around 1:30pm.
