Sacramento, CA – The last minute rush of Californians who tried to enroll before Monday’s deadline caused delays and many were unable to sign up. However, it is not too late to still get insurance coverage by January first. Covered California reports you now have until Friday to sign up.
The number of enrollment applications that were started continued to grow according to the exchange, from 689,477 through December 14th to 867,665 through December 21st. Also, more than 100,000 calls were made to the exchange during that time. The average wait time was about 43 minutes and the time to complete the enrollment was 21 minutes.
