The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch from late tonight through Friday morning for the Stanislaus National Forest.
* Winds: Ten to fifteen mph with gusts up to thirty-five mph.
* Relative Humidity: As low as twelve percent.
* Impacts: Gusty winds and low humidity along with dry fuels, will create critical fire weather conditions. Any new ignitions could see rapid fire growth.
Winds will increase starting late this evening as a weak and dry low pressure system moves through the Pacific northwest. This combined with low humidity will bring a period of high fire danger to the west slope of the Sierra Nevada mountains.
