Update: Car Versus House

Columbia, CA — A Sonora man led narcotics detectives on a chase in Columbia. Initial reports from Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Officials stated a car had hit a house on Upper Quail Mine Road. That report was revised to a shed and information that there had been a chase with law enforcement and an arrest.

Tuolumne County Sheriff’s say Narcotics Detectives were in the area looking for Jake Raven who was wanted on a felony warrant. When they spotted him on Covington Road in a truck and tried to make a traffic stop, Raven took off onto Upper Quail Mine Road.

Sgt. James Oliver says, “Detectives followed him and when they located his car. Raven had pulled into a driveway on Quail Mine Road. The truck had hit a shed that was out in the yard and damaged the siding. The suspect took off running.”

Raven was arrested a short distance away. Oliver says Raven and his car were searched; however, he has no word on whether any drugs were found.
