According to the National Weather Service, low elevation snow is likely this Thursday and Friday, followed by a warmer and wetter storm this weekend.
The first system will arrive late Wednesday and continue into Friday, with moderate snow accumulations over the mountains. Snow levels will begin in the 2500 through 3500 foot range along the west slopes of the northern Sierra Nevada.
The second system will arrive this weekend and continue into early next week. Moderate to locally heavy rain will be possible across the central valley, with moderate to heavy snow accumulations above 6000 ft.
