Sonora, CA — A woman allegedly led police on a high speed chase, and she now faces child endangerment charges.
The Sonora Police Department attempted to pull over 35-year-old Andrea Corder, in the early morning hours, along Greenley Road. The PD reports that Corder was traveling 55 mph in a 25 mph zone. Corder allegedly ignored the flashing lights and continued forward. At one point she slammed into the curb and blew out a tire. Her vehicle finally came to a stop on Hope Lane. The PD learned that Corder was already on probation for driving under the influence, and she was also intoxicated at the time of her new arrest.
Corder’s three year-old son was in the vehicle, so child endangerment charges were added. In addition, she faces charges of evading and driving on a suspended license. The PD notes that another adult female was also in the vehicle. The child has been turned over to the care of his father.
