Sonora, CA — The Sonora Police Department has released more information about yesterday’s crash on Mono Way that slowed traffic for an extended period.
The PD reports that 28-year-old Christopher Bradbury of Tuolumne was driving a Toyota pickup truck, and it left the roadway and struck the rear-end of a City of Sonora backhoe. A public works crew had been conducting work in the area. Bradbury was transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center to treat moderate injuries. No city workers were hurt in the incident. At the hospital, Bradbury was interviewed and later charged with being under the influence of a narcotic substance.
The crash occurred at 10:07am near the Timber Hills Shopping Center. The westbound lane of Mono Way was closed for an hour while the PD carried out its investigation.
