Sonora, CA — Emergency crews are heading to the scene of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle.
The accident happened just after four this afternoon on Stockton Road between the Mother Lode Fair grounds and Highway 108. The CHP reports an ambulance has been called to the scene, but there is no word on injuries at this time. There are reports that a man jumped in front of the vehicle.

Update 4:40 p.m.: Sonora Police Department reports a person was taken to Sonora Regional Medical Center, but still no word on injuries. All debris has been cleared from the roadway.
