Sonora, CA – The Sonora Police Department says a man intentionally jumped in front of a pick-up truck. The accident happened around 4:08 p.m. on Stockton Road near Mill Villa Court.
Chief Mark Stinson says, “Through eyewitness accounts, it was determined that the pedestrian intentionally jumped out in front of a pick-up truck and was struck by the truck. The subject was transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center with major injuries.”
The victim was later taken by helicopter to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. Stinson says it is too early to tell if drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
