Angels Camp, CA — The Angels Camp City Council will decide over the coming weeks how to fill the void following the resignation of Councilmember Stuart Raggio.
The seat was already scheduled to be up for re-election later this year, as Raggio had been elected in 2010. City Administrator Michael McHatten said this morning that the Council will likely request applications, and make an appointment at an upcoming meeting. The other option is to conduct a special election, which is unlikely since the seat will already be up for vote in the coming months.
McHatten notes that Raggio moved about a mile outside of the Angels Camp city limits, making him ineligible to continue serving on the Council.
