Tuolumne County, CA – The spring weather has Caltrans opening a stretch of the Highway 108 Sonora Pass early. Crews have worked to clear the debris so the roadway has been opened to Eagle Meadows Road.
Caltrans Spokesperson Angela DaPrato says, “This past week has been a great week for them to go up there and clear some boulders and make sure there isn’t any black ice for motorists.”
DaPrato adds that road crews are monitoring Highway 4 Ebbetts Pass and will be making a decision about opening sections, weather permitting.
