The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Sierra Nevada above 5500 feet from Tuesday 3 PM through Thursday 11 AM.
Six inches to two feet of snow accumulation is expected above 5000 feet.
Winds of twenty-five to forty-five mph are likely with gusts up to seventy mph along the crest.
