Thieves Go To The Dogs

Sonora, CA — Thieves hit a Sonora pet shop in broad daylight.  The Sonora Police Department is investigating an incident at Tia’s Tub ‘n Toys in the Sonora Plaza on Mono Way around 5 p.m. on Monday.

An employee says some young men came into the store and one distracted a clerk while the others grabbed items and left. The employee says the thieves “knew what they were looking for and took the most expensive items off the shelves.”  The store is equipped with surveillance cameras.  The employee says investigators are reviewing that video to get pictures of the suspects.  We will pass along more information as soon as it is available.
