Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Office of Emergency Services is organizing a series of community water forums that will be held starting in late April, and continue through May.
While T.U.D. is the county’s largest water provider, there are technically 138 water districts in the county that are regulated by the California Department of Public Health. This has led to some confusion about water restrictions in different areas.
The forums will include a presentation on the drought, and a time to ask water officials questions.
The forums will be April 30 at the Sonora Opera Hall, May 6 at the Twain Harte School Gym, May 12 at the Soulsbyville Gym, and May 28 at the Columbia Elementary Cafeteria. All of the forums will run from 6:30pm – 8pm. Tuolumne County OES is also trying to organize an additional forum to be held in Groveland, but the date and location has not been finalized.
