Sonora, CA — The three area mountain passes are open in time for the weekend.
Just before 10am today, Caltrans re-opened Highway 108 Sonora Pass. It had been closed throughout most of this week at Kennedy Meadows due to high country snow.
Caltrans Spokesperson Angela Deprato says, “Caltrans crews responsible for the road opening extend their best wishes for safe summer traveling to those who enjoy the recreational opportunities this part of California has to offer.”
Meanwhile, Highway 120 Tioga Pass and Highway 4 Ebbetts Pass are also open for the summer season.
