Angels Camp, CA – The CHP arrested a Stockton man for crashing his pick-up into a tree in Calaveras County. The accident happened yesterday on Highway 4 east of Hunt Road near Angels Camp around 5:40 pm.
The CHP reports 76-year-old Russell Knight of Stockton was driving a 2006 GMC Sierra pick-up truck at an unknown speed when, due to his level of intoxication, he went off the highway and smashed into a tree. He was flown to a Modesto hospital suffering moderate injuries. After being treated, the CHP says Knight was arrested for DUI.
