The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the central Sierra Nevada above 7,000 feet, through 4 PM this afternoon.
The total snow accumulations above the 7,000 foot elevation range from half-a-foot to a foot-and-a-half. The higher you go, the more the snow.
The winds continue to gust as high as forty mph.
Slow down and use caution while traveling. Travel could be very difficult to impossible.
A Winter Weather Advisory means periods of wet snow will cause primarily travel difficulties.
