Two-vehicle crash in Tuolumne County

Confidence, CA — Emergency crews are on the scene of head-on crash. The CHP reports an SUV and car have collided on Highway 108 near Confidence.  There are reports that one person is pinned in a vehicle.  Also, the CHP reports the SUV went off the roadway and hit a tree.  An ambulance is heading to the scene and there is no word on injuries.

Update 3:15 pm:  The CHP reports the roadway is blocked at this time.

Update 3:20: The CHP reports the roadway is down to one-way traffic.

Update 3:35 pm: The CHP now reports there was just the SUV involved in the crash and it smashed into a tree.  Luckily, the injuries are minor.  The roadway is opened and traffic is moving once again.
