Mariposa, CA — Some air resources from Columbia are helping to fight a vegetation fire in Mariposa County.
CAL Fire reports that the three acre fire is near the Lush Meadows subdivision. The fire is burning grass and trees. There are some homes in the area of the fire, and officials are assessing whether any are in danger.
Fire officials are expecting to remain in the area of Lush Meadows well into the afternoon. The Columbia Air Attack base will be utilized as a fueling spot for aircraft.
