San Andreas, CA — Cal Fire reports nearly 30 structures are threatened at this time and residents have been evacuated due to a grass fire on the southside of San Andreas. The evacuations are on Howell Road, Saddleback Road, and Magers Way.
Cal Fire reports the fire is 90 acres in size and there is no containment. Highway 49 was shut down for about an hour by the old airport and Mountain Ranch Road. It is now open to one-way traffic.
Firefighters continue to battle the blaze from the ground and air. We will bring you more information as soon as it is available.

Update: 5:30 pm: Cal Fire reports the fire is 40% contained at 90 acres.
