Columbia, CA — Fire damaged a home in Columbia in the 11100 block of Green Street Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, June 25th. The structure was 50-60% involved when crews arrived according to Columbia Fire Assistant Chief Brian Conroy.
The home, as well as the garage, were significantly burned but Assistant Chief Conroy did not have a dollar estimate on the damage yet. He noted that they were able to prevent the fire from spreading to vegetation and other structures. Crews from Sonora City and Cal Fire assisted the Columbia Fire Protection District with the incident.
Red Cross was able to assist the family but Assistant Chief Conroy did not know how many people were living at the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
