How Is Your Internet Service?

Sonora, CA — Answering that question could help the Mother Lode’s economy by bringing faster internet service to the area. In order to make that happen, broadband providers need to be aware of a community’s current service, according to the Central Sierra Connect (“CSC”) program.

Last Friday, at a conference held at Black Oak Casino, CSC rolled out its new plan called the “Broadband Improvement Project” (BIP).  The project needs area residents and businesses to fill out a reporting form detailing their current internet performance and reliability. That information will be given to decision makers in Sacramento and Washington D.C. who fund Broadband internet projects.  Click here to fill out the reporting form.

The CSC program was created by the Amador-Tuolumne Community Action Agency with the goal of bringing broadband access to the Mother Lode.
