Yosemite, CA — Yosemite is offering a business opportunity regarding its park concessions.
Its concessions contract will expire next year. That contract deals with service operations like lodging, food and retail stores.
Ranger Scott Gediman says, “The public should know that should there be a new company [picked] we are not anticipating any interruption of services and we will continue to be operating 24/7 like we do right now.”
The current contract is with the Delaware North company, which has been in charge of those services since 1993. Gediman says federal law requires the park to open the process up to bids at the end of each contract. Delaware North can submit a proposal again. All bids are due in November of this year. The new contract will begin in March of 2016.
