Groveland, CA — A man from Southern California died yesterday while visiting a swimming hole in Tuolumne County.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that 30-year-old Enkhchuluun Demberel of Torrance was vacationing with friends and was swimming in Rainbow Pools. Sheriff’s Office Spokesperson Sgt. Scott Johnson says Demberel had limited swimming ability, and he encountered difficulty when he ventured into deeper water.
He went under water, but did not resurface. Demberel was then pulled from the water by people in the area, but he could not be resuscitated.
The drowning occurred at around noon on Tuesday.
