Sonora, CA — Today is when the most significant traffic delays will begin as part of the Mono Way widening project.
There will be a full closure of Mono Way between Roselyn Lane and Rogers Road starting at 7am. The day-and-night closure will continue through August 8th. A major culvert will be replaced under Mono Way, which is why the full closure is needed. The City of Sonora says there will still be access to all homes and businesses. Through traffic will be detoured to Sanguinetti Road, at Greenley Road, and at Fir Drive.
In addition to the culvert replacement, crews will also continue work on the new retaining wall, and carry out storm drainage and sanitary sewer work. You may want to avoid the area if possible.
