Yosemite, CA — A fire burning in Yosemite National Park, and the Stanislaus National Forest, is up to 4,198 acres and 58% contained.
The residents of the 50 homes in the evacuated community of Foresta will be allowed to return home at 3pm. Over 1,000 firefighters are assigned to the El Portal Fire. The Big Oak Flat Road is back open, so there is access to Yosemite Valley and Tioga Pass from the Highway 120 entrance.
The fire continues to burn the hottest in the northwest corner of its perimeter.
