Sonora, CA — Construction crews have completed work on a culvert ahead of schedule.
As reported yesterday, Sonora City Engineer Jerry Fuccillo suggested the roadway could open early, but did not have a specific time or date. He now reports the roadway will reopen at 8 am tomorrow, instead of Friday.
The roadway has been closed to through traffic since July 28. After Wednesday, Mono Way between Fir Drive and Greenley Road will be opened to through traffic in both directions. There will be traffic control and temporary lane closures for retaining wall work on both sides of the roadway.
The project is scheduled to be completed in the fall.
