San Andreas, CA — Historic San Andreas will be spruced up by volunteers on Community Clean Up Day. The event is this Saturday, August 9 from 8:00am to 11:00am. After registration, participants will be picking up litter, sweeping sidewalks, clearing weeds, trimming shrubs and fixing welcome signs along Highway 49 in downtown San Andreas.
All volunteers age 18 and over are welcome. After the Clean-Up volunteers will be treated to a lunch at Turner Park. The event is co-sponsored by the Calaveras Council of Governments, the San Andreas Recreation & Parks District, San Andreas Community Covenant Church, Calaveras County Health Department, San Andreas Merchants Association, and the Calaveras County Garden Club.
