Sonora, CA — The Sonora City Council will take up items related to the search for a new Fire Chief.
At tonight’s City Council meeting, the city will update its Fire Chief job description. Mike Noonan is currently serving as interim chief while the city looks for a permanent replacement for Mike Barrows. The City will also vote on accepting a grant from CAL Fire to receive some new equipment for the city’s Fire Department. Tonight’s regular session meeting starts at 5pm.
At 4:30pm, there will be a closed session meeting, to discuss the recent state Supreme Court ruling related to the Walmart expansion.
