Angels Camp, CA — A Sonora man suffered major injuries in a car versus motorcycle crash near Angels Camp. The wreck happened on Highway 49 at the intersection of Gun Club Road earlier this week.
The CHP reports 56-year-old John Garcia was driving a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on the highway. 44-year-old David Enriquez of Angels Camp was driving a 2004 Mitsubishi Eclipse southbound. The CHP says Enriquez turned onto Gun Club Road in front of Garcia. The motorcycle smashed into the passenger side of the car.
Garcia was taken to Mark Twain Medical Center with major injuries. The CHP reports alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
